Do I have to know how to paint or be a creative person?
No! Art Bar 39 classes are designed to be approachable and our instructors will help guide you. We provide FUN & easy step by step instructions!
All our artists are trained professionals!
I AM UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO A PUBLIC EVENT, DO I GET A REFUND?
ART BAR 39 CANCELLATION POLICY
Much like concerts, we hire artists and staff based on number of attendees.
We apologize, but we do not issue refunds for cancellations under 24 hour notice of any public event.
For cancellations 24 hours or more prior to your event you will be issued an ArtBar39 Gift Card.
Gift Cards are available to be picked up in store only.
WE DO NOT issue refunds or Gift Cards for no-shows.
Do I need to register in advance for Public Events?
Yes, we need all attendees to register in advance and as early as possible as most of our events are limited seating and often sell out.
You are able to purchase tickets for events leading up to the start time of our events.

What is included in the price?
Art Bar 39 provides everything you need to create your painting: canvas, paints, or other art materials as needed, easels, and instruction. Food and beverage are offered at additional cost either at our Studio Cafe/Wine Bar or through the vendor at other locations.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early to check in with your artist, secure a glass of wine and get ready for a fun & relaxing time!
What should I wear?
We use washable acrylic paint so feel free to get fancy, or comfy, whichever you prefer! We provide Aprons for our guests in studio!
Should I tip my Artist Instructor?
Artist tips are always appreciated. Our highly trained artists usually go above and beyond to make your experience the best it can be. If you appreciate their effort, go ahead and show it through a tip.
I missed the public event I wanted, will you paint the same painting twice?
We try to vary and change our paintings often but most will be featured a few times at different events, keep an eye on our calendar.
Also if you book a private event with us, you can pick the painting you want!
How many people do you need to have a private event?
Currently, we will book private events for groups of 8 or more in our Studio/Wine Bar in Alexandria MN
For Travelling Parties , It depends on your area - some areas require 10 or more people - (outside an aprox 30 mile radius of Alexandria)
Where can I have my private event?
We can host your private event at your favorite Bar/Restaurant/venue or in your own home.
As host, it is your responsibility to make venue or location reservations at any location outside of our studio (please make sure the venue knows we will be painting).

How far will you travel for a private event?
Currently Art Bar 39 will travel FROM Alexandria Area to you if you have-
8 or more- 30 miles
10 or more- 40 miles
25 or more- 60 miles*
35 or more- 90 miles*
We also have Artists based out of Morris, Wadena, and St. Cloud

How do I pick my project for my private event?
This is the fun part! You may choose any 1 canvas painting from our online gallery OR stop into our studio during regular business hours to see our live gallery. If you are doing a guided canvas painting, we do ask that you choose only one painting.
If you are interested in any of our other projects (rustic string art, rustic quote/stencil art, wine bottle painting, growler painting, mug/wine glass painting, dream catchers, etc.) please only choose one (string art and quote art cannot be combined). As of now, we are offering wine bottle painting, growler painting, and dream catchers private events in studio only. Of course we are willing to make exceptions as needed.
What is the duration of my private event?
Generally, our events last 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the chosen project.
All parties begin promptly at the scheduled time and end as close to the scheduled end time as possible.
Please be conscious of your scheduled time slot. Your artist may have other events to teach after your event.
When will my artist arrive?
The artist instructor will arrive around 20-30 minutes before the scheduled start time, depending on the size of the group, in order to set up.
If at an event center or bar/restaurant, please make sure the doors will open/unlocked 30 minutes before and after the scheduled instruction begins.
All parties begin promptly at the scheduled time. For that reason, please have your guests arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
The artist instructor will also stay around 15 - 30 minutes after the event concludes to clean brushes and tear-down.
Is there an age limit for Public Events?
For most of our public painting events we ask that guest be 16 years or older. BUT all ages are welcome to join if they can sit through the 2 hour class. Must be 21 to consume alcoholic beverages and will be asked for ID by Art Bar 39 or vendor staff.
Is there an age limit for my private event?
Any ages are welcome for your private event! The more the merrier!
Make it a family event OR keep the kids at home and take some much needed adult time.
